Crafty Chicks Challenge #18

Getting My Ears Pierced

So I apologize ladies, I lost the instructions for this challenge, I jotted down some info. on a post-it, but all I got was use shape as background and use a lite cartridge (I believe).  Well I used Cricut George Fonts & Shapes for the circles, Mother's Day 2010 Solutions for one flower & its layers and the Hannah Montana Cartridge for the butterfly.

All papers used (other than plain card stock) was from the Echo Park Life Is Good.  Also from this paper I used it to do the cuts and used the Echo Park Pink Flower Embellishment for Circle Center and Curls. I also added some pearl bling to give it a more girlie look.  I have not journaled as I am making a companion page for that.

Cheer Frame

Fun and Girlie Cheer Frame

I made this frame for my daughter's friend and cheer buddy for her birthday.  It became so popular I have been asked to make more!

*The frame is $1 from Michael's
*Blue Zebra Paper is from Cardstock stack at Michael's I purchased entire animal print stack for $2.50
*Blue ribbons from Michael's that I've had forever
*Thickers white glitter letters for part of the "Velocity"
*Cricut used for the "V" and "L" in "Velocity" and for the entire "Elite"
*Stickles used to add some extra bling
*Want2Scrap bling rhinestones to accesorize title.

Little League End of Season Fun

Well, its already the end of the season for my sons Little League Team.  Me being team mom I am in charge of the end of the year pizza party, Coaches Gifts and a little something for the boys.  Well I scored easy and cheap stuff at Dollar Tree!!!

Gift Pales for Players
*Baseball Gift Pale - $1 Target Dollar Section
*Patriotic Candy - Dollar Tree (Spent $4 on all candy)
*Gift Tags - Used paper scraps and hemp rope
*Red gift basket filler - Dollar Tree (used 1 bag total) - $1
*Used Floral Foam to insert inside pales to hold items - Dollar Tree (used 2 blocks cut into 5 pieces/block ) = $2
Total Cost for everything = $18

I also burned all of the photos I took throughout the season onto a disk for the parents as well as made a photo DVD Montage of highlights from season.  I placed both CD's in Cd envelopes I got on clearance at Target for $1.98 for 30 of them and wrapped a simple black toule ribbon around them.

Gifts for Coaches
*White Photo Matte - Dollar Tree 2/$1 (used 6 frames)
*Used Cricut Varsity Letters Cartridge for "Coach"
*Used Scraps for "Coach" square embellishments
*Used Cricut Sports Mania for the Baseball
*Fiskars Thank You stamp
*Blue Ribbon for frame - Dollar Tree (1 spool used for all frames) = $1
Total Cost for project = $4

Frames were made and I inserted the photos that the League gave me and glued a black cardstock matte on back to conceal back side and add Team Information (I obviously blocked out verbage in photo).  The kids will autograph their names onto the frames at the party to present to their coaches!

Teacher Appreciation Gifts

This week is teacher appreciate week, so I put together little gifts to give to the kids' teachers each day of the week.  I forgot to take a picture of the "sweet" gift they took to school this morning, but it was such a cute and fun popcorn/candy mix. However, tomorrow's gift theme is "Put some color into your teacher's day"....so I made these gift bags filled with colorful post-its, clips, pens, paperclips and pencils.

For these bags I used the Preserves cartridge for the apples and the Doodlecharms cartridge for the lady bugs.

**Wednesday's gift theme is "I am Sharpie Day", so as you can see from photo 1 I was highly inspired and totally scraplifted Shantaie Fowler's pencil gift idea from the Circle Blog for the decorative tag/wrap on the pens.

I used the preserves cartridge for the apple and the Gypsy Wanderings for the tag/wrap...oh and of course my Diamond Dust to give the apple some pizazz!

Still working on the rest of the week's gifts, but will post them soon :)
